Your
First Visit :
Welcome!
We look forward to this being the beginning
of a long friendship
and a lifetime of dental health.
More
typically, the first visit begins with a medical
and dental history, a tooth examination
and a periodontal (gum) evaluation. We will
take the x-rays necessary for the purpose
of diagnosing the condition of your mouth.
Dr.
Bordeaux does an oral cancer exam, looks for
cavities, evaluates the temporomandibular
joints (TMJ’s), checks the occlusion
(the bite), and discusses your cosmetic concerns
and orthodontic issues. He is very concerned
about missing teeth and can explain the various
techniques for replacing them.
Our
dental hygienists perform a periodontal evaluation
before cleaning. If gum disease is
detected, they will prescribe a method of
treatment. Treatment will return the teeth
and gums to a healthy state for their usual
cleaning.
Because
of the thorough nature of the initial examination,
the first visit will last 1½ to 2 hours.
Your
Appointment :
You
are given an appointment time
to ensure that you receive personalized care
in a timely manner.
As
a courtesy to other scheduled patients,
a minimum of 24 hours notice is required if
you are unable to make your scheduled appointment.
Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
Using Your Dental Benefits :
We
gladly accept dental benefit plans
where you have the option to choose your dental
care provider, or utilize an out-of-network
option.
As
an added convenience to you, we can file all
of your insurance claims and accept
assignment of your benefits. This expedites
your processing and ensures that payments
are made promptly.
Financial
Responsibility :
For
your convenience, we accept all major credit
cards in addition to
cash and checks for payment of services.
Full
payment is expected when services are rendered,
unless arrangements have been previously
made.
